The ultra wide range of adjustment offered by the CFD piston allows for the convenience of tuning your suspension without having to revolve your dampers. A conventional shock absorber can withstand a 2kg spring rate difference before requiring a revalve, whereas the Concave Flow Digressive Technology has a broad range of 8kg spring rates. This is invaluable for tuning your suspension quickly at the track on race day.

The Concave Flow Digressive Piston allows for a Jekyll and Hyde personality. Lower spring rates can be stiffened up by using the wide damping range as an artificial spring rate, while higher spring rates feel much smoother. The large adjustment range contributes to a comfortable ride on the street and unyielding performance on the track, all with the twist of a single adjustment knob.

BRIGHT DIP ANODIZED

Bright dip anodizing is a chemical polishing/anodizing process that is very effective in enhancing the integrity of the aluminum. Bright dipping creates a brilliant, shiny surface which protects our 6061 forged aluminum parts from corrosion and oxidation, ensuring that your parts look great for years to come.

REVISED JETTING

Revised jetting and increased adjustment range for more accurate damper control. Every click in the adjustment range has a very profound effect on damping force, and each click is very audible and distinct.

RADIAL BEARING MOUNTS

The high-quality Koyo Japan radial bearing provides less bind for noise-free operation and smoother steering response.

The delicate science behind the strength of piston shafts can be difficult to perfect. Through extensive research and development, we were able to achieve an optimal balance between shaft hardness and malleability to ensure peak safety and performance.

REDESIGNED SHAFT CAP

New CNC machined adjustment knobs replace the outgoing cast molded knobs. These new machined adjustment knobs are hard anodized and more aesthetically pleasing. Updated shaft end caps are now lighter and showcase a more elegant design.

STRUCTURAL IMPROVEMENTS

Utilizing our engineers’ in-house design software, we reinforced brackets and mounting points for more rigidity and strength. Most applications will include OEM brake line tabs welded directly to the lower mounts, which provides the end user with a cleaner and safer installation.

CFD DIGRESSIVE PISTON™

Digressive piston technology allows for tremendous amounts of low speed force that translates driver inputs into razor sharp control. Furthermore, the force “blows off” to provide the driver with a supple compliant ride while maintaining superior mechanical grip over rough surfaces.

DYNO-TUNED AND TESTED

EVERY Fortune Auto shock absorber is dyno-tested. Once your shock absorbers are built, they are tested and matched, because we refuse to treat our shocks with a “one size fits all” mentality.

INDEPENDENT COMPRESSION

Fortune Auto engineers have improved damping control and adjustment by eliminating the older needle adjuster and now incorporate a digressive piston (base valve) that has it’s own independent shim stack and jetting mechanism inside the remote canister. These features provide for a very wide range of adjustment in low speed and high speed compression.

IMPROVED COOLING

The new canister is larger in size, allowing for greater shock fluid and nitrogen capacity. The increased fluid capacity allows for more consistent operation over a wide range of temperatures.

LARGE NITROGEN VOLUME

The remote canister can now run much lower nitrogen pressures, allowing for a more compliant ride and ability to handle larger curb impact events at the race track without upsetting the balance of the car. Additionally, the extra gas volume helps prevent pressure build up during large stroke events.
